Connecting to wireless networks makes accessing the internet convenient and efficient. Both secure and guest wireless network access is available on the Armstrong, Liberty, and Statesboro Campuses. GS Wireless, Georgia Southern’s wireless network system, is comprised of three wireless networks (or SSIDs) that can be used by Georgia Southern students, faculty, staff, and guests. Keep reading to find out more information about our wireless networks.
GS Premium
GS Premium is Georgia Southern’s premiere wifi network, and the most secure and seamless way to connect to the campus network for students, faculty, and staff. GS Premium uses a digital certificate to automatically authenticate. This not only reduces the risk of phishing and password theft, but also ensures a faster, more reliable connection experience—especially for frequently used devices. Keep reading to lean how to get connected.
Getting Connected
Air, water, WiFi—at Georgia Southern, we know that connecting to our wireless networks is a necessity. Whether you’re a student, faculty, staff member, or guest, we want to ensure you have the best connection possible.
For Users with a MyGS Account

- Follow the on-screen instructions to join GS Premium, download, and install the certificate (DMG).
- After installation, select GS Premium from your device’s wireless menu to complete your connection.

Campus Housing
In addition to GSCampus, students in residential facilities on the Statesboro and Armstrong Campuses have access to MyResNet, powered by Boldyn, which can be used to connect Smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other WiFi enabled devices in addition to laptops and mobile devices.
Connecting to MyResNet
We’re dedicated to providing you technology solutions in and out of the classroom, which is why we have partnered with Boldyn to provide students living in residential facilities on the Statesboro campus with the WiFi resources to connect SmartTVs and streaming devices to our wireless network in addition to laptops and mobile devices.

Step 1: Select Your Campus
Step 2: Create Your Account
- Connect to “MyResNet Start Here” from your available wireless networks.
- Click “Sign-In” and enter your school username and password.
- From the popup alert, copy your personalized Wi-Fi passkey.
- Once your account is set up, please forget “MyResNet Start Here”
Step 3: Connect to WiFi

Locating Your MAC Address
Your device’s Media Access Control (MAC) address is a unique communications hardware identifier. Just as every human has a unique fingerprint pattern, every computing device has its own MAC address that allows it to communicate across a network. The GSDevice network is a specifically designated network that allows SMART devices and gaming consoles to connect to the internet after registration of the devices’ MAC address has been completed.
